postpartum lactation consult
Virtual or in your home.
Whether you have a newborn or an older nursling, get help when you need it.
During our initial visit, I will take the time to understand how feeding is going for you and how to get you from where you are to where you want to be. Some challenges can be addressed in one visit, and others will need follow up visits.
What to expect from this visit:
I meet with you in your home (or virtually) and we work on whatever issues you want to address. No need to get out of your pajamas or get your baby in the car seat!
I will do a thorough intake of your feeding journey so I can have a good understanding of what has happened up until then.
I will take the time to understand where you want to go from there and what would provide you and your family with the most satisfaction and joy.
I will only touch you and your baby with your consent. When touching is necessary, we will talk about it first so you know what to expect. You can say no to anything.
At the end of the visit, I will provide you with the care plan that we come up together. I will send a report to other providers if you agree to it.
After the visit, I will be available for text/phone support for 2 weeks if you have questions or concerns along the way.
Depending on the situation, you may benefit from more than one visit. I will do my best to anticipate how many visits will be needed for your situation.
Pumping consult
In your home.
Whether you are exclusively pumping, going back to work, or pumping occasionally, let me help you get the most out of your pump.
Includes flange fitting with my sterilized flange parts. Getting the best fit for you can help with milk output, overall production and increases comfort.
Take the guesswork and stress out of figuring out how much to pump; I can provide you with a customized plan.
Virtual or in your home.
For babies who are having problems with:
bottle refusal
fussiness with bottles
difficulty eating well from a bottle
Yes, I can help babies who drink formula!
This visit will include an oral assessment of your baby and the chance to try different bottles (mine are all sterilized before use). At the end of the visit, you will have a better understanding of why the bottle is difficult for your baby, and you will be given an individualized care plan with exercises for your baby.
